THE DREAM IS NOW A REALITY! NEW MILLENIUM, NEW FACILITY...

Lord Radnor, founder of Trafalgar Fisheries - suppliers of fresh trout for the last 30 years - can look back on many changes and now can view with satisfaction the most recent development administered by John Williams, the farm's overall manager. The farm has constructed a state-of-the-art thermally controlled building, housing comprehensive processing and packaging plant, close to the farm which lies on the river Avon in Wiltshire.

Trafalgar Fisheries is one of the earliest commercial fish farms in the UK, with more than thirty years experience in Salmonid production. The farm is situated in the Avon Valley south of Salisbury and is an integral part of The Longford Estate, home of the Radnor family.

Lord Radnor says, "Everybody has worked hard to realise our ambition to have all the facilities here in the plant as good and better than our few competitors." He went on to say, "With these excellent facilities in place the farms are seeking the E.F.S.I.S. accreditation - a must, I believe, for those in this industry."

For over 25 years Trafalgar Fisheries have supplied fresh trout to well known British and International wholesalers. John Williams, General Manager, has always insisted on using the most modern processing techniques available ensuring that high standards of hygiene and quality control have naturally been set. In addition fish are reared in a traditional way that also ensures top quality and excellent taste.

John Williams went on to say, "Our biggest customer, Waitrose, have voted with their feet and continue to support us as we step into the new millennium with this purpose built facility. And we thank them for that!"
